Cabinet Trends: In the Navy
Navy blue is definitely having a moment. In fashion, furnishings, decor and kitchen and bath design. We love navy for it’s classic and versatile, yet dramatic effect. Paired with butcher block, navy can feel historical and all-American. But pair it with a white quartz and brass hardware, and navy can be very glam.
An entire kitchen full of navy cabinets may become too dark. We especially like navy as an accent color. Balance navy with white or natural woods. Add some contrast to all white wall cabinets with a navy island or navy base cabinets.
One of our cabinet manufacturers, Custom Wood Products, offers a more faded navy blue (Pacifica) that is quite dreamy. We’d love to see this paired with rustic, handscraped hardwood or a butcher block countertop.
