Countertop and Appliance Installation
The countertops are ready to be installed! This is where the project really comes together as the finishing touches are completed.
This client is having granite tops installed on the perimeter cabinetry, peninsula, and the low side of the island. They also had granite installed around the fireplace. The layout of this kitchen is somewhat unique with multiple inside and outside corners. The homeowners chose a pencil edge profile with radius corners. They have also selected a 5-foot sink/workstation that will be installed in the peninsula. Careful thought and consideration have gone into the layout of the granite in regards to seems and movement color within the material.
Once the countertops are set, the appliances can be installed with the exception of the chimney hood. That will be put up once the backsplash tile has been completed.
As stated previously, this client loves to cook and entertain, therefore they've selected a nice variety Sub Zero and Wolf appliances to suit their cooking and entertaining needs.
They opted for a 36” electric induction cooktop, chimney wall hood, microwave drawer, dishwasher, 36” Sub Zero integrated refrigerator, steam oven, single oven, and warming drawer. They also included a built-in coffee machine and refrigerator drawers in a small beverage area in between the peninsula and island. This will allow guests access to beverages without interfering with the person preparing the meal.
Once the tops and appliances are complete, the tile setters can begin work on the backsplash tile. We can't wait to show you!
